CEO

CEO and entrepreneur Brian Anderson specializes in building and running high-growth consumer brands across such categories as wellness, fitness, sports, outdoor, recreation and travel. Brian has strong experience running and growing private equity portfolio companies as well as founder-led businesses ($50 to $200 million in revenue) and driving toward a lucrative exit for investors. He has served as CEO (full-time and interim), Executive Chairman, Board Director, Advisor and CEO Coach. 

Brian is a commercially-oriented leader with deep experience in DTC, B2B, Amazon, growth marketing, digital transformation, brand marketing, business development, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions. Brian is also well experienced in finance, operations, product development, technology, legal, and human resources. Brian’s true love is people. He prides himself on creating collaborative, happy work cultures and motivating talented teams to execute a company’s vision and strategy.

  • CEO of North America at Delsey Luggage (3rd largest luggage brand in the world)
  • CEO of North America and Head of Growth at AG1 (health supplement brand that reached a valuation of $1.2 billion in 2022)
  • CEO at MELT Method (DTC product and subscription content business focused on wellness and longevity).
  • President (interim) at 2XU (athletic apparel brand and portfolio company of PE firm L Catterton)
  • President (interim) at Your Reformer (Pilates reformers)
  • Advisor at Pvolve (fitness studio franchisor endorsed by Jennifer Aniston)
  • Advisor at Drop Fitness (SaaS platform to run gyms and fitness studios)
  • Advisor and CEO Coach at Windpact (impact-resistance technology for helmets)
  • Board Director at Connecticut Cannabis Company (cannabis startup in NY and CT selling products under the brand “Phil’s Nice”)
  • Board Director at Sports and Fitness Industry Association (trade association)

From 1999 – 2014, Brian played a major role in building three (3) successful, high-growth companies: CEO and co-founder of Madd Gear (action sports products), which grew from startup to $20 million in 4 years; President of EB Sport Group (fitness gear), which grew from $35 to $120 million in 6 years; and Senior VP of Global Sales and Marketing of 180s (outdoor apparel and accessories), which grew from $1 to $45 million in 5 years. Prior to 1999, Brian held various sales and sales management roles with Transitions Optical and PPG Industries, an $8B chemical and industrial products company.

Brian has been intimately involved in several acquisitions (buy side and sell side) and has experience with private equity, having run businesses owned by four different PE groups. Anderson holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech and is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business. Brian has three grown daughters and lives in Charleston, SC, USA.
